How strong is a Minotour bus? Well, to find out Thomas placed an 18,000-pound Saf-T-Liner® Type D bus on top of a Minotour EL.

Cables were attached to the front and rear bumpers and a crane lifted the bus into position. The Minotour was outfitted with a cradle to hold the Type D bus in place, then cables were relaxed to allow the full weight of the bus to rest on the Minotour.

The Minotour's steel cage construction and one-piece, skirt-to-skirt steel rafters held up so well that all its windows and doors opened easily without binding.
